Cory Connell was a 2013 Edgewater High School graduate who’s life was tragically cut short at Pulse Night Club in June 2016. Cory was a proud Edgewater Eagle who exuded many positive character traits while on and off campus. The Cory Connell PTSO Scholarship is awarded yearly, honoring Cory’s legacy of community involvement.
⇒Must be an EHS senior and student member of PTSO to apply.⇐
Submitted applications will be reviewed, and recipients selected by PTSO and EHS Student Services. Winners will be announced in May (TBD).
During the review process, equal consideration will be given to the categories below:
◊ School Activities/Involvement
◊ Community Service Activities/Involvement
◊ Awards/Recognitions
◊ One letter of recommendation from a coach, mentor, teacher or community leader is required as part of your application packet.
-Applications are available Jan 1st through March 13th, 2026 at the Student Services Office and on the PTSO website. Download application here. The committee will meet to select winners and notify them in early April so they can attend Senior Awards Night which is on May 13th.
